An application for National Lottery funding for a major village hall
extension was unfortunately declined in 2007. The Village Hall Management
Committee has therefore decided to explore a more modest and affordable plan
which, at the very least, would replace the facilities of the 'temporary'
extension that was built to the rear of the hall in 1953.
Drawings of the current layout and of the proposed plan are shown attached.

Proposed plan:
The most significant points to note are:
(1) The stage and the storage area immediately behind it will be widened to
match the full width of the main hall.
(2) There will be three additional storage/meeting room areas.
(3) There will be an additional WC for disabled access.
(4) The doctor's surgery will be retained.
(5) The internal layout of the kitchen will be redesigned and will probably
include a servery area adjacent to the main access route to the rear of the
hall.
