HUNSDON PARISH COUNCIL
PLANNING APPLICATIONS PROCEDURE
Parish Councillors review planning applications for their impact on the
village as a whole and pass their individual comments to the Parish Clerk. The
Parish Clerk then collates and summarises these comments in a single response
to the EHDC planning Dept, who will take this and all other submissions from
interested parties into consideration when reaching their decision. The
timescale for the parish Council’s response is always very short, which
precludes our meeting to discuss and prepare in committee the PC’s
representation. The Parish Council suggest that if you wish to make any
comments regarding a Planning Application that you direct your correspondence
directly to EHDC Planning Dept at the earliest opportunity and send a copy (for
File) to the Parish Clerk. If you wish to view a copy of plans you can do so at
East Herts Planning Dept or contact the Parish Clerk. The Parish Council’s
response to a Planning Application can be found on the village website (from
May 2006)
